Trapped field profile for CSYL 28, CSYL 44
Superconducting single domain YBaCuO levitation disks with ability to trap magnetic field exhibit considerable levitation force. They are used (in combination with strong permanent magnets) in self-stabilizing frictionless magnetic bearings of very low friction. Other shapes can also be cut from the basic bulk.
