Trapped field profile for CSYL 28, CSYL 44

CSYL 28 YBCO Levitation Disk Trapped Field Measurements

(carried out at the Boeing Company – Phantom Works)

With 2 Tesla applied, the maximum trapped field on the top (seed side) was .85 tesla. The maximum trapped field on the bottom was 0.55 tesla.

1) Measured with combination of NdFeB permanent magnet of 0.5 T surface magnetic field. Magnet diameter and height 20 mm. The levitation force is extrapolated to zero distance.
